Meet The Maker

Hi, I'm Andi (They/Them), the hands behind the Andi Hoffmann Creative. I am a queer, neurodivergent artist making ceramics with gratitude in Aotearoa New Zealand. I am a one human small business and every piece you purchase started from a ball of clay, was transformed with love and creativity into a special work of art, and passed from my hands to yours.

I took my first pottery class in 2013 and fell in love with the unlimited potential of clay and the very messy creative process that comes with it. After lots of drop-in community studio time, I branched out on my own in April 2019 and have been making one of a kind goodies for folks like you ever since!

Before I decided to pursue ceramics full time, I studied Biology, Environmental Science, and Conservation at school. It was through these programs while living on the west coast of Canada, that I developed immense passion for protecting all the amazing wildlife and habitats in the coastal temperate rainforest. Now living in New Zealand, I am passionate about the intersections of art, activism, and nature and am incorporating this exploration throughout my current work.
