Driftwood Teapot
This one of a kind teapot features multiple elements found at remote beaches in Aotearoa New Zealand and is the perfect piece to inspire the adventurous or wanderlust spirit in you!
Whenever I walk on the beach or shorelines, I'm immediately drawn to finding unique pieces of driftwood and imagining how I can incorporate them into my art. This piece of driftwood was found during a beautiful day at Waimatuku, on the western coast of Āwhitu Peninsula. Paired with a textured glaze inspired by sandy shores and a little pop of sparkle from some melted beach glass in the lid handle, this one-of-a-kind teapot brings those coastal beach vibes right into your home. Although it looks more sculptural, this teapot is fully functional, with copper wire tightly holding the driftwood handle, and a food safe glossy glaze inside the pot.
Dimensions: 22 cm tall to top of handle, 15 cm tall to top of lid, 16 cm wide not including handle.
Care: Hand wash only, spot clean handle and keep driftwood out of water for long periods of time.
